The story of Sabato de Sarno in Gucci began in January 2023. He replaced the legendary Alessandro Michele, who in eight years turned the brand into a trendsetter with a revenue of $10 billion in 2022. Little is known about the new creative director: de Sarno began his career at Prada, then moved to Dolce & Gabbana, and then to Valentino, where he worked for almost 14 years, eventually becoming the fashion director responsible for men's and women's ready-to-wear.

De Sarno called his first collection for Gucci Ancora, which is translated from Italian as "again" or "again". "The story of wealth and lust, red, but also blue and green, flash, spontaneity, light, party in the first rays of the sun. This is a story that is not hidden, proud, manifested and not taboo, although it may seem that it should be, it is absolutely free and filled with euphoria. <...> This is a story of music and night parties, sweat, dancing and singing. It's a story about a family, about kisses, many, many kisses. This is again a story about everything, but this time expressed through joy," the designer said before the show.
